Located in Vancouver’s Gastown district in the revitalized BC Electric Building, HiFi Centre is a 5,000 ft² audio and video showroom.

A tenant improvement within a heritage building, the complete renovation of the space takes the presentation of audio and video products to a new level.

The project entailed a complete fit out of each room to operate as a showroom space with superior acoustic performance.

The HiFi Centre merges the Danish-inspired design aesthetic of Bang & Olufsen with the traditional approach of Hi-Fi Center’s vision to create a cohesive experience.

The showroom features five dedicated listening rooms with superior acoustic performance and custom display audio component units as well as a video experience space set as a home theater.

Hi-Fi Centre features a sensory retail design concept by Bang & Olufsen, the first showroom in Canada to showcase the design.

KRA made the space feel open and inviting despite the existing low ceilings of the heritage building.

The team paid great attention to detail in creating a luxurious showroom experience: from architectural glass and lighting bespoke woodwork and antique furniture pieces to stunning glass jewelry cases for small accessory display.
