Emily’s House consisted of a contemporary single-family residence with a minimal budget on a very complex site. Working with Bon Constructors and their trades, KRA was responsible for the interior design of this project ensuring quality, cost effectiveness and constructability.

Gair Williamson Architect Inc. prepared the architectural plans and continued to supervise the base building construction until City of West Vancouver issued its final Letters of Assurance. KRA provided the interior design services scope of work and further developed the space planning to better suit the needs of the client.

The program incorporated an open concept main floor with kitchen, dining room, living room, music room, and flex office space. Four bedrooms with ensuites are on the upper floor, while the lower floor contains a media room, guest rooms, gym, and laundry room.

The living room featured 16’ ceilings with floor-to-ceiling windows letting in plenty of natural light and highlighting expansive views of the Burrard inlet.

The kitchen serves as a focal point to the design, and its prominence influenced the overall aesthetic throughout the house.
